About Predictor

What is Predictor?

Predictor is the user-facing platform for Predictor LLC. Predictor LLC is an Introducing Broker registered with the National Futures Association. Predictor provides access to event-based markets by introducing eligible customers to regulated partners, including a Futures Commission Merchant and a CFTC-regulated exchange. Predictor does not hold customer funds, execute trades, list contracts, or act as a counterparty to any transaction.

How do prediction markets work?

Prediction markets allow users, called Predictors, to buy and sell contracts tied to the outcome of clearly defined future events. A market may ask a Yes or No question. If the event happens, the Yes side settles according to the market rules. If it does not happen, the No side settles according to the market rules. Prices may move as new information becomes available and as buyers and sellers update their positions.

Prediction markets allow users, called Predictors, to take a position on the outcome of a future event. Some markets ask a simple Yes or No question. Other markets let you choose between multiple possible outcomes or predict whether something will fall above, below or within a certain range. Prices change as Predictors buy and sell event contracts, reflecting the market’s collective view of how likely each outcome is. Once the event is decided, the market settles according to its predefined rules. This is decided by the exchange exclusively.

How is Predictor different from a traditional sportsbook?

Predictor is not a sportsbook. Prediction markets are financial markets for trading event-based contracts. You are not betting against Predictor or a house. You are trading with other market participants through contracts listed on a regulated exchange. Predictor does not set odds, take the other side of your trades, or profit from a user losing or winning a particular market.

  • Peer-to-peer trading: participants trade with each other, not against Predictor.
  • Dynamic pricing: prices of contracts can change as new information enters the market.
  • Market rules: each contract has defined settlement criteria and official sources, which dictated exclusively by the exchange.
  • No trading advice: Predictor provides access and educational information, not recommendations.

Is Predictor an exchange?

No. Predictor is not an exchange and does not list contracts. Eligible contracts are listed on a CFTC-regulated Designated Contract Market. Predictor introduces eligible customers to its Futures Commission Merchant partner for account opening, funding, and trading access.

Who holds my funds?

Customer funds are held by the Futures Commission Merchant, not Predictor. Predictor acts as an Introducing Broker and does not hold customer funds.

Your funds are held and managed within the Plus500US account you open through Predictor. They are held at all times by Plus500US, our Futures Commission Merchant (“FCM”).

Predictor acts as an Introducing Broker and never holds or controls your funds.

Who handles onboarding, KYC, AML, and account opening?

Plus500US Financial Services LLC handles customer account onboarding, Know Your Customer (“KYC”) checks, Anti-Money Laundering screening, sanctions screening, customer funds, and related account-opening requirements. Plus500US Financial Services LLC is registered as a Futures Commission Merchant and is an NFA member.

Can I lose money?

Yes. Trading event contracts involves risk, including the risk of losing the amount you put at risk. You should only trade with funds you can afford to lose and should read the market rules, fees, settlement criteria, and risk disclosures before placing a prediction.

Does Predictor give trading advice?

No. Predictor does not provide investment, legal, tax, financial, or trading advice. Market information is provided for educational and informational purposes only and should not be treated as a recommendation or solicitation to trade.

Is trading available in every state?

Availability of access and category of markets may vary by state, market type, user eligibility, exchange rules, partner requirements, and regulatory developments. Products, services, and markets may not be available in all jurisdictions and may change over time.
